P21s gel FTW....
But if you seal the wheels (wheel wax etc) they clean very easily.

The P21S Wheel Cleaner is a great product and always kept my wheels clean and kept the clearcoat in perfect shape. However, it is probably not cost effective for stock wheels, but I highly recommend them for Volks and the like. For the stockers, just buy a good wheel wax/sealant so cleaning them is easier. It is the same as your paint, the wax and sealant will help keep the brake dust and road grime from sticking to them.

Well put. Personally, I just use automotive shampoo and water as others have mentioned, but I always make sure to have a couple of coats of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant which makes cleaning wheels significantly easier. P21S Wheel Gel is a great product for high polished aftermarket wheels.

Not to highjack but my wheels are in pretty rough shape. I don't know what the previous owner did to them. Its like theres brake dust embedded in the finish and I've tried soap and water and even some wheel cleaner but its not touching it.. Any suggestions?

What type of wheels? The chemicals may of eaten through your clearcoat already. (

Stock 7 Spoke 18" wheels.. Used eagle aluminum wheel cleaner on one of the wheels and it looks pretty rough, stuck to soap and water for the rest because it looked like it did bad things : /
