Good product to remove odor?
So I spilled some gas in the trunk and the entire car has a gas smell. I know opening the windows will help, but I don't want dirt to get inside the car. I was wondering if there is a reliable product to help remove odors.
I have not tried it personally, but I just ordered Extreme Offensive Odor Eliminator based on the product description and Chemical Guy's reputation. Gas is pretty hard to get rid of. If not, there is a product at PetSmart for pet urine odor, which is also extremely hard to get rid of. I forgot the name of it, but the pet people will direct you to it.
The products described are for organic odours such as pets, food, human etc. I doubt they will do a lot for gasoline.
I would wash out the trunk liner letting it dry outside and also air out the car.

After the liner is washed and removed I'd use the stuff from PetSmart too. I
wouldn't light a match/lighter without opening a window....Ouch!
I aired out one of our work vehicles after some diesel was dropped in it. It still stinks to high heaven after a scrubing and airing out. If I get that vehicle again I will try the odor remover and pet odor remover and see what happens. And, no, I am not employed by detailedimage, but fully support them. The work from Fminus got me interested in CG's stuff and Greg/George were cool enough to talk me through some products that have worked as described. I have spent 2-4k at shops before and not received the customer service they have given for a $20-200. It's nice to support a vendor that supports our site with a discount. Anyways, I will let you guys know if I am able to cure the diesel odor with either product.
