Engine Dress-Up Information

I know there was a post about engine covers being painted. But I figured this could be used to show everyone the other things they have to dress up the engine. Such as hose covers, new caps, painting of lids, and other various things benough our hoods.

Re: Engine Dress-Up Information

I cut-down & painted the Engine Cover to fit the Polished Crawford Plenum and added Carbon-Fiber Inserts (were the engine cover bolts on to the Plenum). I also covered the MAF in C.F. Added Nismo Oil & Radiator Caps & Hyper Ground Wires. I covered the holes in the top on the black radiator cover were the original air box attached, with smooth black plastic fasteners to give that area a cleaner look. And finally the JDM Battery cover for the Drivers side to give the Engine Compartment a Cleaner Symmetric appearance...

Very nice rugrat. You should post a DIY on those carbon fiber complements. Looks real good.

Re: Engine Dress-Up Information

is that a real nismo oil cover or one of those ebay knockoffs. I was considering one but they are too expensive and just wondering how well those ebay ones were.

Re: Engine Dress-Up Information

Pimpinpearl,
The Carbon-Fiber is from LP Racing (Lockhart Phillips USA)
It's real C.F.w/ high performance 3M Adhesive on the back & a Flexible Clear on top of the Carbon-Fiber. The Bike shop I get mine from just went up from $19.99 a sheet to $24.99 a sheet. So I'll be getting it somewhere else. Most Motorcycle Shops can probably order it for you. Kinda pricey for a 12"x12" sheet. Part# is 901-120 Sticks to anything...
I did some C.f. C-Pillars for my G, you can check it out in the RIDES Section under "RugRatCoupe"

Re: Engine Dress-Up Information

RugRatCoupe, Beautiful work. Do you have an internet link for a dealer that sells the JDM battery cover for the driver's side? Thanks
