While driving from the grocery store to home, the SES light came on. I performed the self diagnostic test on my 2005 G35 6MT and I got 10 fast blinking lights followed by 2 slow blinks, and 10 medium blinks. Then the cycles of the blinks repeat over again. What code is it telling? Any thoughts of what can be causing this code? I have no scanner. I will press the gas pedal down to reset the service engine soon light and see if it comes back on again. I will await further advice to proceed.

That can mean your gas cap is loose or you need brake fluid. I thought.

 

Go to an auto parts store and have them read the code, it is emissions related likely.

 

I found out that it is a P0011 troubleshooting code. Probable cause is:

1. Crankshaft position sensor
2. Camshaft position sensor

I will find it out.

 

You don't say he mileage, but at around 100K all three tend to go. Replace all 3 with auto store parts or those From RockAuto. They will be around $120 total for your piece of mind, and you have to replace them or you could end up stranded.
