Painting Grill Black

I want to take the grill off my OB Coupe and paint it black, but I can't find a solid step-by-step on how to actually do it or what brand of paint is good to buy. I know I'll get people telling me to use search but trust me I've tried many times.

Can someone please help me out.

dupli color sandable primer
dupli color (what ever color you want)
dupli color clear coat

sandpaper. (320, 400, 600, 800)

very easy mod..

320 sandpaper will strip all that fake chrome off. i actually wet sanded mines and it came off with a breeze.

then work your way up 400, 600 & 800..

wash off w/ soap water. then let dry.

move on to the sandable primer (3-4 coats)

then your dupli color paint (3-4 coats)

final step is the dupli color clear coat ( i only use 2 coats, some guys use more for a super glossy look)

Thanks BKZ, but what about removing the grill itself? I popped off all of the plastic pins, is it supposed to just slide out or am I missing something?

you pretty much have to put your hand behind the grill theres 1 plug on each side, pretty much have to give it a little tug.

Idk maybe I just fail at life but I'm pretty sure I see the 5 or 6 clips down at the bottom of the grill holding it to the bumper but I can't get them to budge.

just push the center of the clip down a bit and slide the clip out...It looks harder than it is...just take your time
