is this stuff wax? because there's no way a wax will last that long. and the only sealant i've heard to get close to that time frame is the zaino one

Many good suggestions, its hard to make a choice, I guess its just trial and error until you find something that works for you.

Best durability from a wax from my experience would be collinite. For a paint sealant it would be Zaino and Prima Epic.

I use the NXT and NXT 2.0 both last at least a month with weekly hand washes... I'm pretty sure the protection is still there after a month, but i like to keep it waxed anyway...

I use the NXT product also. First I had my car professionally detailed to prep the surface (wash, clay bar, polish etc). I have since put 3 applications of NXT on the finish within 2 weeks and the water is still beading nice 8 weeks later. I keep my car in the garage all the time which I'm sure does help. I usually wash once a week and quick detail it a couple times a week.
The great thing about NXT is its fool proof. It goes on and wipes off easy.
If you want longer lasting waxes you need to use high quality carnubas applied mechanically.

Use NXT detailing spray after washing, you'll like the results.

I don't doubt your washing ability but i highly doubt that any megiuar wax not last longer than a week. How are you judging that the wax is gone? Even the very bottom of the line consumer grade meguiar wax last more than a week if applied correctly. I'm using their professional line yellow #26 and it's solid. Are you using a wax friend car soap and not dishwashing liquid? It just doesn't make sense for the wax to not last more than a week. Even after a rain, I can litterally Quik Detail my car on a freshly waxed surface and it would look good as new.

I wash the car gently with a wash mitt I put almost no pressure on the car but after the wash the wax isn't there anymore.

Does anyone have any suggestion for a better longer lasting wax?

Thanks.

It's a polymer.

I was/am a fan of Mother's products, which made my cars look phenomenal, especially the 3 step process. However, they only lasted 3 months, max. However, this Rejex makes the car look nice and water beads lasts a long time. I've also tried the Zaino AIO but feel Rejex is better...

Just spoke to Meguiar's customer care line. They recommend their NXT wax where hard water is used to wash cars. I see others posting to this thread have used Meguiar's NXT.

Please advise of your experience with Meguiar's NXT if washing in hard water environment.

Thanks

I don't see how the type of water would affect the wax. I usually only apply wax after I have washed and then dried the car completely.

Hard water has a positive ionic charge which attracts minerals and metals. These minerals and metals leave residue on the paint surface, which, in turn, reduces the repellent effect of the wax on water. The bond of the wax to the paint is thereby weakened.

If your water supply had very hard water you would know it. Soap doesn't lather very well unless water first passes through an ionizing water softener.
