clay bar limit

clay bar limit

whats up guys...how many times can you use a clay bar until you need to throw it away?? I have used it about 3 times over the whole car..is that enough?? I just dont want to put any contaminants back on to my nice IP..thanks..

if you knead and fold it, and then flatten it and it still shows contaminants, then its time to get a new claybar. I only use mine twice, then they get added to the wheel clay bag.

depends on how dirty the car is. my cars only usually require spot clay
so ive been using the same clay for a while.

just make sure to spray some QD on it when you're done and place it in
a ziplock bag or a sealed container to keep it moist.

thanks...it actually still looks pretty good, thats why I asked...but I will take your advice and spring for another..I try never to let my car get dirty..after the clay bar the IP looks like I just bought it and feels silky smooth...best to not skimp on detailing it..thanks again...
