not sure if this is posted before, but i detailed my car and sealed it with meg #21. i put on 2 coats, with 24 hours between them. 24 hrs after the second coat, i put on some blue tape on my front hood and bumper and some on my side skirt for my road trip. the tape was on for about 12 hrs. will it take off the sealant that i applied a couple days ago? the tape did wonders in keeping of rocks and bugs but i'm afraid it'll strip my sealant?

 

I can ask some painters at my work if you want?

 

heat should loosen up the adhesive or get adhesive remover but idk if it will mess with the sealant. If you could put up a pic I could give you better advice

 

i peeled off the tape and everything still looks shiny haha, i can't tell if the sealant is still there or not

i still want to know if the sealant is still there though, otherwise i need to reseal since my car won't be seeing a good wash for a couple of months. i'll try to take some pics

 

you can check by the beading it should make

 

Stop worrying. Your sealant is fine.

If you're still unsure take 10 minutes and reapply.
