Touchless Car Wash's
Touchless Car Wash's
Was wondering what peoples takes were on all the touchless car wash's? I don't have the chance to put the solid time into a nice wash by hand somtimes and don't want to half *** it. I haven't heard anything bad about them except when they don't work properly and say miss a cycle. But, could it harm the car paint or wax job at all? I try to hand wash it once every 2 weeks and in between goto the touchless car wash. Just trying to get others 2 cents on it.
Just making sure i'm not doing some damage over time to it and its not hurting anything. I just hate seeing the car dirty at all and when I do even if I don't have time to wash it, its just nice stopping by the carwash for a quick cleaning.

Touchless car washes use harsh detergents to clean your car. Any paint protection (wax or sealant) that you've applied to your paint will be stripped off much quicker than normal. I personally never use them.

You are MUCH better going with a "soft cloth" wash over a "touchless" wash. You can either use chemicals or friction to clean. - the chemicals used in touchless only washes are VERY corrosive to your car. I'm in the biz so I know what I'm taking about -

An ONR wash can literally take as little as 10-15 minutes(less time even than going to and waiting for touchless wash?), and then you can control it. Your protection will be stripped extremely quickly if not right away when you use the touchless washes. You'll wind up spending more time applying more layers of wax/sealant later instead.

I use QEW, however the process for using ONR is basically the same.
