what do you guys use to keep your cat(s) off your car? every morning i go out there i have cat prints and **** on the car and im really gettin tired of it. its either the nieghbors cat or my roommates cat. im think im goin to get a bb gun and sit outside and wait for it to get on the car and then shoot it in the ***. think it will learn its lessson that way?

Ground the car & dangle an electric fence wire over the car.
When the cat plays with it he/she will get a shot in the a$$

If it's a daily thing you might want to cover it over night. It takes a couple of minutes to put it on and less to take it off.

Besides Trenta's idea (the most rational), you can shoot them all, or put out some antifreeze every night. You will have to change the antifreeze every night though because bugs love it.

Back when I had no garage, I even went so far as to put a note in everyone's mail box with the local county code printed in a letter, delineating the pet laws for them. I also wrote a paragraph about how irresponsible it was to own a pet then let it run wild at it's whim. Irresponsible because it puts the cats life in danger, and irresponsible because they have now become complicit in any property damage that animal causes me.

I warned them that I would shoot to kill any animal that I found on my property and that if they wanted kitty to live, they'd keep it in the house or find a new pet.

Cat treads on my ride did go down, but I still got the occasional stray, and I never had to shoot one which is fortunate because I am an animal and cat lover and own two myself. I would have felt bad but I was prepared to terminate the cats command.

yea, i brought out my Airsoft gun and sat there shooting any cats that come around. do it enough times, and they learn. it wont kill em either...they just some pain.
or, u can try to use that animal repellant, but personally, i wouldnt spray that stuff on my car.

i use to spray WD-40 on a card board box and put it on my hood. My cat hated the smell and never went on the car when that was on.
Then my neibhor ran my cat over

after that problem was solved

I had the same problem last winter with a stray cat. That SOB wouldnt even jump off my hood right away until I would approach it as if saying f@ck you to me. Well in the begining of spring that bastard got what it had coming someone ran its a$$ over across the street from me. No more cat prints.

I had my neighbors cat do this to my car like a couple months ago and I'm a dog person and hate cats. So what I do is leave my 185lb. great dane tethered to a pole in my lawn right next to my car. Never again has the cat come near my car. Cats Suck. Dogs Rule.
