I no longer have the time or motivation to polish then seal my car. The all in one stuff really appeals to me for this reason. Can anyone recommend something? or is it a waste of time? Thanks!

 

It depends on the level of polishing your paint requires. You're not going to get much cut with a AIO polish/sealant or carnauba.

 

If your not looking to restore/repair the cars surface, then they are fine. They will add shine to the finish, and the synthetic types last up to 6 months if garaged.
AIO polishes will strip off the old wax buildup, and fill in some minor scratches/swirls. They will not remove them, so in time they will re-appear.

Klasse AIO is pretty easy to use, and if you have the time, follow up with a carnauba wax....it will help to add depth to the synthetic look of AIO. The proper way is to let the Klasse set up for 8hrs, then apply a coat of wax.

In all, the whole project shouldn't take you more than a few hours of your time, and you should be happy with the results.

Actually some AIO polish like poliseal, D151 do remove swirls and light scracthes. D151 can actually be use with a more aggressive pad to give it more cut. Not all AIO are the same.

What you've noted is very true but, they will only remove very light swirls. The level of cut in an AIO does not even compare to a regular polish or compound. In my opinion, to achieve an acceptable result on most finishes a multi-step polish is pretty much required.

 

You can actually apply a product over KAIO immediately; no time to cure. Klasse SG requires a 24 hour curing time.

KAIO is a wonderful product; even though it has very little cut it is an excellent cleaner and a good underlying sealant for a nuba wax or another sealant.

 

My G is that sand color so it hides minor swirls pretty well. I have more aggressive polishes should I need it. Just looking for an AIO that will help clean while it seals.

I won't say KAIO is the best as that is a bold statement; but it is my personal favorite. Alot of people have many different preferences so it varies.

 

On new cars I find that an AIO is typically a good followup after claying. Also, if you maintain your car well and don't have serious defects, an AIO will also work pretty well. Personally, my plan of attack on a car with little to no significant defects is Zaino AIO followed by 2 coats of Z2 (to insure coverage) and then a topper of either Souveran or Poorboy's EX-P for look.

The Klasse AIO is good stuff and was my favorite for years. Be real careful not to use too much, use it on a warm surface, or let it stay on the surface too long though as it can be a bit harder to remove when it dries. If you use it properly, it is simple stuff to use.

I have heard on autopia.org that some people notice D151 having more cut then Megs 83.

 

Tough question. I think the Klasse is strictly a chemical polish while the ZAIO feels like it has an ever so slight abrasive quality to it. In that light and in most cases, I think I would lean towards the ZAIO even though I am not a big Zaino fan.

My fav AIO is Optimum Poliseal, it has a decent amount of cut that varies depending on the pad used, and leaves behind a decent amount of protection for ~3months

 

I am also a fan of poli-seal as it does have some decent cut to it with a green edge pad.
