How long do ya keep your California Car Duster?

How long so you guys keep your dusters for? I know on the packaging that it reads "the longer you use it the better it gets". Apparently the darker it gets the better it works also, but is there a point where a new one should be bought. I've had mine for a year and I use it every day.

I know that this discussion was a topic of conversation a few times. I think the consensus was when you look at your duster and see lots of dirt, its time to get a new one. Probably 1-2 years based on usage?

I actually stopped using mine. Partly because I found the beauty of ONR and just wash my car more often now, but I felt like I was having some micromarring on my paint. I can't confirm it was from the duster, but I stopped using it, polished, and its hasn't come back yet. Now I'm just scared to start using it again.

mine is over 10yrs old, actually. never washed. it's been only used on my hobby cars after a nice drive on a dry day.

the interior duster has a much shorter life. typically about 3-4yrs (really
depends on how dirty it gets) and it has to be replaced. i tried washing
it, but it turned out like crap. just get a new one.

Everytime I use my caliduster after detailing my car, it causes swirls and small scratches.
