Ha yeah man; they were pure black before. I didn't notice how shiny they could be .

Thankyou! I guess I will make a little DIY. Not very hard at all, took about 5 minutes on each tip.

Noob question warning. Do you guys take the exhaust tips off when you polish them sand etc and is it just that 1 bolt to take them off

No you don't remove your exhaust tips to clean them, Mothers Metal polish and a rag....it's easy!

friends these tips and after before pic looks great.

 

Nevr-dull oxidizes... It creates the green build-up and looks terrible if you dont regularly shine it. I use this crap in the navy and it is NO BUENO! Mothers Mag/Aluminum Polish is perfect for this! I suggest people clean them with a quick detailer (NO WAX) first. Then let them dry, Leave the mothers on for about 30 minutes, then use a microfiber rag and really polish it deep. then wipe it down softly with a clean microfiber or a screen cloth (for laptop screens)

 

For anyone doing this and having problems with mothers... You have to clean the metal surface first... Then let the polish sit for a little bit, let it turn white. Then polish it deep. Its not a two second job but Sloober, those look preeeety!

 

Use brasso if carbons really caked on #0000 steel wool best that can be done

 

i use it quite a bit on my Fast Intentions tips they get black so quick especially without cats anymore but it gets them looking brand new again
