Polishing Exhaust Tips?

On my 07' X the tips were completely black when I first purchased it. I used steel wool and regular 3M polishing compound and it brought them clean.

Also try mojo metal polish and sealer. I worked for a mobile truck wash company, one time we accidently got some acid on a customers truck and it reacted with the chrome parts, turning it white and dull. We had to polish all his chrome, and a guy recommended mojo. This thing is like magic. It will completely restore dull and oxidized metal with just one application. I used it on an old integra muffler and it brought it back to new

I kinda skipped to the fourth page lol, sorry it it was already discussed. Would it be possible to get burned tips on the stock exhaust? I want that look but I want to keep that stock sound so I'm trying to avoid an aftermarket setup. Any input?

and when you used it, it'd say you have to cut off the old tips and weld the burnt tips on
