i just got my g35 last week, black on black. I'm looking for a place to get a good price on tinting around here without a giant rip off. anyone know any places in socal? OC preferably.

WinTech. They offer ceramic interlaced tint or the standard stuff. It is ~150$, for your choice of shade, which you can mix and match, (or ~350$ for ceramic), they drive to your place to do it, and it has to be one of the most professional tint jobs I've ever seen. There is NO gap on the main windows, the tint goes right to the edge. There website is

Got my new G35C tinted this weekend at Sunshield tint in Sherman Oaks; right off the 101 freeway on Van Nuys Blvd. 818-906-8468 They do the work for Miller Infiniti as well as all the other Miller dealers. They did a great job; really nice! $135 for all 5 windows. I am leasing so I didn't go for ceramic - but I am really happy with the basic Llumar film that I got. Miller Infiniti wanted $280 for them to send the car to Sunshield for the same job ;-)

 

I secon on the Sunshield in Sherman Oaks.... Great tint for good price. I have alos recommended a few other people and they were happy with their results as well.
One thing that I did notice was my radio reception got a little bit worse (b/c of metal based tint). I still get great reception around the city, but in parking garages at work and at home I can notice a minor difference.

Any recommendations on where to go near Pasadena? I called VIP center (on Altadena) and spoke to Joey. I asked him if he had any experience with the dot matrix on the G35. He said "the dot matrix has nothing to do with the experience of the tinter. If it adheres, it adheres. If it doesn't, it doesn't. No guarantees." So needless to say, I won't be going there!

I have a good friend over in LA - Songs Tintmasters. I'd have to say, we're at about the same level in knowledge and expertise in the field. They're one of the few tinters able to tint over the dot matrix w/o any problems. Ask for Hann or Jay and tell either one of them Sam (that's me) from Mach III sent you. They're also the only authorized Huper dealer in LA so if you want to fork out $400 for the tint you can't go wrong w/ them. They also carry Madico as their main line of film.........I personally recommend you stick w/ Onyx. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

I went to Song's Tintmaster for the Huper Optik install on my G35 sedan. They did a great job and it was helpful to mention Sam's name. [Thanks Sam...] I would certainly also recommend them to you if you don't mind the distance to drive there.

 

Song's Tintmaster is THE place to go for tint... if u want tint go see hann or jay...
