Brake Dust Bust

I've got mad brake dust on my front wheels that seems to not want to come off. I have tried multiple chemicals, brushes, rags, etc. and no matter how hard I scrub and with what chemicals I use, the front wheels always seem a bit darker than the rear. It sucks cause after every wash, my wheels still mismatch in color.

Anyone have a product they could recommend for taking on heavyweight brake dust stains off?

Another thought I had, but wanted to run it by you guys first, would it be ok to spray some engine cleaner or brake cleaner on the wheels or would this damage them?

By the way, they're OEM's 18".

Thanks everyone!
