Sideskirts & rear lip install w/pics
Re: Sideskirts & rear lip install w/pics
joenismo, yes, please do contact Extreme Dimensions. I think the skirt could be even shorter than the way you have it... it looks just a bit lower than your bumper, or could just be the angle.
btw, is your bumper the real nismo (urethane) one or FG replica? if you have the replica, could you comment on the quality and fitment? I am considering to get one myself... just wondering if it is worth while to get the replica. I am not too worried if it needs more prepping, but I wouldn't get it if it looks like it can crack easily.
thanks again. great pics!!

the rear skirt doesnt seem to flow as nicely as the sideskirts with the front lip, but nonetheless it still look tight, one of the best G's i've seen besides those guys with the top secret front bumper. where are u located?

I have a replica Nismo front end. Both the original and the replica are fiberglass. Fitment was pretty good, but plan on a decent amount of time to prep out for paint properly. The sideskirts are close enough for me as far as height, it is probably the angle, but you can imagine if I hadn't cut the inch out. By the way I like fiberglass products because customizing is possible, if these skirts were polyurethane I couldn't have taken the inch out and would not have even used them. Don't be afraid of fiberglass, Nismo, Top Secret, Greddy, they are all fiberglass.

I think the rear lip flows pretty well ( the more I look at it from different angles the more I like it) and I had no other choice other than the ings rear piece which is much more $. I am in the Tacoma, Washington area. Thanks for the props everyone.

You might want to think about getting an open front bumper more like the top secret. I'm sure you wont get near as much airflow as with the stock openings in the bumper.

The Top Secret front end does look good. But doesn't it also pretty much mean that your intercooler becomes your bumper, i.e., zero protection in a front-end collision? If so, that's quite a trade off just for more air, isn't it?
Re: Sideskirts & rear lip install w/pics
Yes the intercooler becomes the bumper, but that is the same setup I have now pretty much. When you install a Greddy intercooler you must remove the front bumper reinforcement. So all I have protecting my intercooler right now is about 1/2" of fiberglass.

Yikes- didn't know that. Is that the same for all intercoolers on the G- even, say the Vortech SC? You lose your front bumper? Course I think I read where the G's bumper received pretty poor ratings anyway for crash test and repair costs, so it probably all comes out in the wash.

Yes, I will be a definite side skirt customer. It's exactly what I want and thanks for sharing. I agree, your car is the tightest I've seen. If necessary a lot of us can call to ask them to put the sideskirts in production. They would need to keep it competitive with the stillens and others in terms of price.
Re: Sideskirts & rear lip install w/pics
No, the greddy intercooler is the only one out there so far that requires you to remove this bumper support. That right there spells death and I woudlnt' touch it. Even the power enterprise ARC intercooler doesn't require the removal of this bar. In even a 5mph crash, you'd lose you're entire front end, including intercooler, bumper, radiator.. etc. I coudln't imagine what would happen in a crash at higher speeds. Actually, i'ts happened to someone and they died as a result, but, that is subjective.
