First Detail on NEW G35

Well, its a 2005 that I bought a month ago.

First chance I have had to clay, polish, seal and wax. Over-all condition almost excellent. A few minor scratches that polished out, one deep scratch on rear driver side door that is going to take some work, and a few rock chips on the hood and front bumper that I have started on.

But the paint that I got from the dealer is a little darker than the original paint. I have not clear coated yet. Nor have I sanded or taken any other steps to blend it in.

The paint I used is the correct paint according to the paint codes. Does anyone know if this will dry overtime to match. Also, does anyone know of a solvent for the touch-up paint other than the Langka Blob Eliminator? Thanks.

It looks like you have a pewter color, they're very hard to match. Despite the codes being the same, it's very rare to get pewter to match up perfectly. A common tip I hear is that if you're getting your pewter vehicle painted to paint the entire car or it won't match well.

I used to have a pewter truck that I had some custom body work done that matched perfectly. This was mainly due to the quality of shop and their cutting edge technology.

The detail looks good, any sun/halogen shots?
