Conditioning the G37 leather

From what I understand, the G37’s leather is “protected” from the factory. That said can I use stuff like the Zaino Z-10 to condition the leather & vinyl to maintain the “new” leather smell. Could it damage the leather in any way?

Nope will not damage it. The leather being "protected" from factory, I'm not sure how true it is. If it is, probably not good products. Buy some leather cleaner, and leather conditioner. You'll only be doing good for it by conditioning it.

You can apply conditioners, but they will just sit on the surface. If you do choose to use such a product, at least choose one with UV protection, otherwise, use a product such as 303 aerospace protectant, which will prevent damage to the coating over time

+1

Two of my favorite options for coated leather are 303 Aerospace Protectant and Optimum Protectant Plus since it cleans and protects in one step.

Many leathers now have a thin coating on them from manufacture. The Nissan leather still is permeable, so can still benefit from a conditioner like Lexol (my favorite), or Zaino (great smell).

You'll find that the leather does soak up a fair amount of this stuff, especially in warmer weather. Just apply, let it soak in, and buff out the remainder.

Proof? I have used the water droplet test, and confirmed that the infiniti leather is coated. I'm not sure how they applied a permeable vinyl coating.....

Thanks for the info guys! I'm picking up some Zaino today so we'll see how it goes.

I agree with redlude...I don't think it adds any protection benefits to condition the leather. Zaino just smells so damn good, I keep using it.
