Try a less aggressive pad, like an orange or white, before you try the yellow pad. See how that works then step up if you need to.

If you do have to go with an aggressive pad like the orange or yellow, then you will probably introduce some micro-marring into your paint due to the harsh pad/polish combo yo uare using. You'll most likely need to go over the car again with a finer polish and a white pad.

Also, do the sealant BEFORE the wax. Most sealants bond best to clean, smooth paint. I doubt very much that a sealant applied over a filler-heavy wax like NXT is going to last very long.

I recommend doing the wax and sealant by hand rather than by PC/blue pad. But it's up to you.

NXT 2.0 is a sealant as well isn't it, what is the sealant you are trying to layer on top of it? You need a fine cut polish before the sealant step to remove any micromarring from the aggressive pad/compound combo

What products are you using?? What color is your ride?? A yellow pad is very aggressive. Use the least aggessive method first. If the swirls are very bad I'd use a orange pad with menzerna SIP. Follow that up with menzerna 106FA w/a white pad.

If the swirls aren't too major. You can use the SIP w/a white pad then 106FA w/a gray pad. You need to follow up a compound or SIP w/a finishing polish. I'm confused with your post. Did you use the blue pad with the NXT thinking it can be used as a finishing polish???

You need to get some supplies. Go to detailedimage.com or autogeek.net, they both have everyting you need to detail your car properly. Get either menzerna SIP or megs 105 for the initial swirl removal. Use a orange or white pad. Then get menzerna 106FA or megs 205 to remove the marring from the stronger polish. Use a white or gray pad for this. After polishing you then apply your sealant(your NXT2.0)

No, it doesn't have any polishing agents in it. You can apply a wax over the top if you want it to look a little more wet. The order should go
1. Medium compound
2. Finishing polish
3. NXT
4. Carnuaba wax

BTW, I would apply the NXT and carnuaba wax by hand, no need for the PC really and you'll use less product

I agree. You need to get a finishing polish. Yes you can apply a carnuba over the NXT.
