I'm no expert, but I don't think that NXT is a "sealant" in the traditional sense of the word. I think people confuse it with sealant because it is synthetic and not a traditional 'pure carnauba' wax.

It's really more of a wax than anything else. Use it to top a true sealant, or top it with another wax. But don't put a sealant over NXT.

NXT has minor cleaning abilities. Meaning it will remove anythng underneath it. Most people put the NXT down first for that reason.

NXT is completely synthetic also, and it has chemical cleaning abilities, but no abrasives. NXT should not be layered over anything else as stated above. I don't see how you wouldn't call it a sealant, as it can't be called a wax because of the lack of carnuaba content, by the traditional definition

Can u do all the steps but skip the step of the sealant and add wax instead?

Yes you can. People use sealants because of its durability, and its different look from carnuba. It gives more of a crisp pop to the paint. Compared to the warm wet glow of a carnuba. You can use either or. It's all preference.

I detail ALOT.. im pretty damn good at it.. and heres my steps.

1) wash with zymol car wash, but really any car wash product will do. I like turtle wax ice also.
2) Clay bar with chemical guys luber
3) Zymol HD cleanse (this step is a must for me, its awesome)
4) Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with wool or orange pad
5) Blackfire finishing polish with white pad
6) Menzerna finishing touch glaze (black pad)
7) Blackfire wet diamond sealant
8) Zymol wax

Zymol is so worth the price.
