Interior Detailing Question - Seat Removal

Due to the wonderful design of Mountain Dew's AMP cans (them being huge) and the cup holders on a g35 coupe being really shallow, I now am in the unpleasant situation of knowing that about 1/3 of a can of concentrated green corn syrup and water is absorbed into the carpet between the console and the seat and I am sure underneath as well.

Since there is no way I would be able to live with myself without taking care of this, and since I was wanting to shampoo the carpets anyway, how terrible or a task is it to tear out the front seats in a 2005 G35 coupe.

If this is seriously a job best left to professionals then I will concede and take it somewhere, but I already own a portable shampoo/steamer and would love to put the extra coin I would have to spend on this towards the set of Volk GTS Phantoms I've got my eye on.

P.S. - I realize this may sound slightly on the crazy side over some spilled pop, but I guess I am super overprotective about my baby
