Tree Sap I think? Won't come out! :(

I noticed this evening when I went to pick up my girlfriend that there was a leaf (redish looking) from a tree, and it had rained a little, but theres a yellow "stain" underneath it. Water, soap, nothing takes it out.. Any suggestions??

Tried claybar? The folks in the detailing category might be able to help more. =]

T,

Try either the claybar or a paint cleaner. You can get the latter from any car shop. Mequiars makes a really good paint cleaner...

If that stuff doesn't work, just wait a couple of washes and it should be gone. The birds were bombing my car, so I had to put pie tins and a fake owl in the tree above it. Sheesh! Anyway, I freaked when I first saw the mustard/orange colored stuff b/c I wiped and couldn't get it off, but it does eventually go away. Just stay waxed and that helps a lot.
