Im looking into getting tint soon, i was just wondering if anyone has any pics of tinted coupes and the % tint. Any pics would be great, thanks a lot.

i did 35% LLumar all around on my coupe - except for front windshield - i am at work now later tonite i will post pics that i took over the weekend! but for now i will say i am extremely happy with my 35% choice on my BS coupe - i dont see the cops busting too much ***** with that level

I just got 40% Huper Optiks put on my G coupe. I was looking for a tint that would give the best "heat reduction" and there isn't a better one on the market. However, it is a little costly compared to other tints. I put 40% on my car, and with the graphite interiors, it looks great IMO. If you're looking to get that limo tint, then look for another brand. But the clarity at night and the heat reduction of Huper Optiks are awesome. You can go on their website, and request installers info, and they'll send you back an e-mail with several installers in your area that are certified. Then just compare prices with the numbers you get. I'll post some pix when I get a chance, but here is a pix of Hupers.

It looks like the Huper tint adheres better to the factory dot matrix crap on the back window. Is it just the photo, or does it really adhere better. I am so sorry I didn't know about the Huper when I got my car tinted.

 

its not whether the huper adheres better, its all about how good the installer is...

 

hah, babiephat's dot matrix isn't tinted at all. Unless he of course changed his mind after I left.

I had my car tinted by the same guy the same day, but 30% (i have lighter interior so darker tint made sense for me). And it's honestly hard to see that the dot matrix isn't tinted unless you know it's like that.

You CAN kinda see it from inside if the sun is shining like crazy, but it's not too bad. Better than a big vinyl strip in my opinion

The Dot Matrix is NOT tinted... No tint can stick to those dot matrix crap on the windows. You can either put a black vinyl strip over it, or just not do it. The problem is that the tint film is made to stick to glass, something the dot matrix isn't... most installers will do it if you ask, but expect bubbles and/or not a guarantee on the work. I'll post some more pix when I take it in the sun.
Better yet... Speedaholic has the same color car, same tint as me... if you check out the regional Northeast forums, you can see the NICE pix he took of his coupe to gauge what 40% Hupers look like with dark interior. If you have the light interior, you might wanna get 30%... Went out for lunch in my car today, and the interior was nice and cool... not scorching hot... =)

My installer tinted over my whole back window including dot matrix with one full piece.. he took half an hour to sand down the dot matrix so that it is flat and i have no bubbles whatsoever.. you should tell the installer to do that..

I have 5% all around with 35% on the front. My tinter did not tint the matrix on the back window. I went to a local sign shop and bought some black vinyl and took care of it myself. Keep in mind any tint on a black car is for looks and interior protection only, it does nothing to keep the car cool (other than looks). For a comparison, look at my brothers MB in the background to see just how dark the tint is. Hope this helps.
