Hello, I am new at this whole clay bar thing, and yes im an idiot and pushed to hard when I clay'd my car. and now there are smudges *pics coming in about 3 hours*. I have tried re-claying it with lots of detailer sprayed on and it does not seem to come off. I have washed it, rubbed it scrubbed it. The smudges are not really visible unless you are up close, and it just drives me crazy. So any suggestions would help. as I said pics coming soon I am at work at the moment. Thanks

 

Try applying some wax over the smudges. Might as well wax the whole car.

 

Yeah, im getting my tires changed today im planning to wax/wash the whole thing when I get it home inside and out, this happened about 2 weeks ago and I havent washed it since, but its killing me.

 

Is it residue from the clay bar or did you actually marr the clear coat?
If you can not remove the marks with polish/wax, then chances are you will need to remove the marks with a polishing compound.

im pretty sure it is just residue from the clay bar, just annoying to get off... thanks though.. ill wax it and polish it today and see if it works.
