dawn dish soap

hey guys someone todl me that if you wash your car with dawn dish washing soap its gets off all the contaminates like a clay bar would does it damage the paint of the car

got35... the dawn soap doesn't get rid of the contaminants that a claybar would because some people, myself included, claybar after using dawn. the soap won't damage the paint of the car (unless you're scrubbing it with an brillo pad). if it can gently get oil sludge off of ducks and swans, then it's relatively safe on your car. basically, dawn just strips any waxes and dirt. happy cleaning.

Zaino recommends the Dawn to strip off the old wax and clean the car. The claying will clean up contaminants from the surface of the car.

Zaino's some good stuff and I am using it on my car. I'm going to run an experiment on my friend's CRV tonight. My car's silver, friends daily driver is white, but the CRV is blue. From what I heard Zaino is ungodly on the darker colored paints.
