You wash then clay. ScratchX is a polish and polishing comes after claying. Claying
removes particles that the wash did not because it is embedded in the paint or clear.
While you are at it, get a good wax. If you need an OTC then use something by
Megs or Mothers not the Turtle wax stuff.
