Re: Keep your Black car look shinny?

Try the Klasse AIO/Pinnacle Souveran carnuba wax combo!!

I also have an '04.5 black G35, and I've tried many different waxes. Without having to spend as much $$ and time on Zaino (which I do hear is the best), I've found an excellent wax solution that 1. gets rid of all hard-water spots, 2. gets rid of most swirl marks, and 3. keeps the car shining with a deep black, very smooth, mirror shine.

After reading so much about it, I tried the Klasse AIO/Pinnacle Souveran carnuba wax combo. The Klasse AIO is a synthetic wax which goes on first, strips your old wax, and removes those nasty hard-water spots and swirl marks. Then, after letting the Klasse AIO cure for 12+ hours, you apply the Pinnacle Souveran carnuba wax on top..this really makes your car have a deep, glossy mirror finish. The Klasse AIO should extend the life of the wax job (it claims that it lasts 6 months or so) and the Pinnacle Souveran carnuba is the best I've seen so far. I used the Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, but the Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax is supposed to be even better.

Check out my thread (Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Carnuba vs. Meguiars NXT) which I started originally comparing the Meguiars NXT to the Pinnacle Liquid Souveran carnuba wax; I didn't like the results of the Meguiars NXT on my black car (although it worked well for our Liq. Copper FX35) and the Pinnacle alone didn't take out the water spots and swirl marks. Toward the end of the posts, you'll see my pictures and discussions after I did the Klasse AIO/Pinnacle Liquid Souveran combo...it looks great to me (and you shouldn't have to rewax it every month)!!!!

I live in S. Florida where the water is hard and the sun can bake everything into your car in just a few minutes. I know that our water has a high calcium content from the water spots on my car and the 'hardness' readings from our pool. Either way, the Klasse AIO seems to be very effective getting any difficult spots and swirls out; so far, I'm impressed with it as a base coat, and then the Pinnacle Liq. Souveran carnuba on top really enhances the deep black mirror shine.

Eveyone has their own opinions and pref's...I already mentioned what I've found to be the best of both worlds with the Klasse AIO / Pinnacle Souveran carnuba combo (synthetic wax & carnuba wax). Just try some things to see which you like best. ;-)

bombrush... check out their site www.crystalguard.com. CG polymerizes glass and fluorine fibers (long-lasting shine). you'll also see that CG withstands extreme weather conditions, between -31F (-35C) and 572F (300C) and has an absolute hardness of 72 (protection). and you've seen my car after rain.

the only setback of CG is that if you have swirls or spiderwebs, you should go the zaino route because CG does not hide them. personally, if i had more time, i'd definitely try zaino. happy cleaning.

Re: Keep your Black car look shinny?

Does anyone know a website that would sell Klasse AIO & Pinnacle Souveran carnuba wax. I can't seem to find a good dealer from google.com

Re: Keep your Black car look shinny?

www.properautocare.com actually has a kit which comes with both the Klasse AIO and Pinnacle Souveran (paste) carnuba wax, and they sell them separately, although I purchased them from a local auto specialty/detailing store.

Re: Keep your Black car look shinny?

Very good info. I bought my black '04 coupe two months ago and after three days I was thinking, boy, did I ever make a mistake getting a black car. Hopefully sooner or later I'll get over freaking out every time I have to drive through a mud puddle or getting depressed when I go out in the garage and see all the dust on the hood 2 hours after I washed the car. And like some of you fellow southern guys, washing a car outdoors, in summer, in Texas, is a mad dash to get the soap off before it dries/fries in the 100 degree heat! Damn hard water spots- my new personal demons!

Re: Keep your Black car look shinny?

bombrush... hey, for some reason, it's not letting me respond to your PM, so i hope you see this.

"What CG products would i need to buy in order to keep my car Clean mirror looking and Protect from rain and scratches.. I bought my car like 4 weeks ago and it is black.. What is the simplest and best way to do it after washing my car by hand.. THX !"

here is a thread about crystal guard application that i've found to be very useful. i use what is called crystal guard quick in the large-sized bottle. i also apply CG on my rims. oh, and don't forget rain-x for your windows. happy cleaning.
