Re: Wax for Black G35
krod69... this is from a car care site. hope this helps.
"A claybar safely removes embedded particles from your paint that cannot be removed with other methods (polishing, buffing, etc). Even though you may have a new car, rail dust, contaminants, brake dust, etc. may be embedded into your paint from the shipping/delivery process or even from a test drive and a claybar will remove them safely from your paint. Normally you would claybar your car at least once a year, more often if you live in a heavily industrial area.
There are basically 2 types of clay bars available, one is the normal consumer version or fine grade (non-abrasive) and is safe to use without scratching your paint. The other grade is for paint overspray (medium grade) and is very aggressive, and even abrasive."

Re: Wax for Black G35
Remember to look at several things when choosing a sealant/wax:
The tempuratures in which they will work, the hardness (MOHS, etc.), the condition of your car (swirls?), the environment in which you drive, the time of the year, etc.
To me, solid-state temp and hardness are important because I live in Las Vegas. Dust and sand, combined with the high temps pretty much precludes me from using any conventional or carnuba-based products. They melt in literally a day in these temps, and leave me unprotected in the heat. They're also softer, which gives a great, deep shine BUT leaves my car more vulnerable to being scratched by both small rocks and particles of sand in the air. I'll only do CG out here now, after witnessing the "protection" of carnuba-based waxes in this environment. It's harder than anything out there and doesn't melt at any discernable temp that I've seen. I think of it as dipping my car in glass, and so far it's done nothing to prove otherwise to me. Individual needs will vary, of course, but for high-temp, high-abbrasion environments, I can't recommend anything else. Maybe in the fall or winter I'll use Zaino to fill in swirls, but right now I'll just keep myself from getting any more

Re: Wax for Black G35
TCFool.....My detailer just turned me on to this product.
He gets his supplies from this company and had just tried it out on a black Porsche and was raving about it! Very reasonably priced also.
I just ordered some to give it a try.
