Glue on lights

That's really weird. I had them on my car too and removed them quite easily with just a blow dryer. Are you sure you bought the re-usable kind? There is a huge difference because there are some that are "re-usable and come off easy and those that are not which are meant for permanent use. I would try going to a dealership to see if they have any industrial glue residue remover. I work at a Chevy store and the stuff we has works wonders. Hope this helps.

3M adhesive remover. Now. Your headlights are probably damaged from everything else you have been trying.

What's wrong with wet sanding? I wet sanded mine and they look brand new?

if you wetsand you can remove the protective film off your head lights that keeps it from yellowing due to UV rays....

Yep.

Just like the paint on your car, there is a clearcoat on the lights that contains UV inhibitors that protect it from fading/yellowing. Wetsanding DEFINITELY removes this and permanently damages the headlight. Sure it will look good for a while, but the yellowing will come back. The only way to prevent permanently it is to have them re-shot with clear. However, a light polish to remove the oxidaton and a long lasting wax will help delay the yellow from coming back significantly.

If your headlights haze up, just use a light polish (PlastX) and then a good, long lasting wax (Collinite)

I've done it on all my cars?

My last car was wetsanded and I had it for 6 months (hot summer months) and they still looked new?
Same with this car but haven't had it that long.

In case anyone was wondering about the final result...

I couldn't get the adhesive off. I went to body shops and theyve pretty much said its messed up and I have to get new headlights =(

maaco thinks they could fix it.... for 265 bucks.
