Mr. Clean Autodry carwash system

has anyone use this and recommend this? Does it actually dry without waterspots? If so, this will save me a lot of time in drying my car after every wash... for those of you who have used this on a black car, let me know if its any good, thanks...

I usually just buy regular blue car wash soap at like walmart or autozone, but if this makes it easier for me. I would be interested in lookin into it. How much does it cost?

I started a thread here called 'Returning Mr Clean...' I suggest you read through it....use the Big Blue II super-absorbant towel instead!

That thread is at least 3" down the page. No way is anyone going to go all the way down there for info. It's easier to just ask the same question again.

Re: Mr. Clean Autodry carwash system

It works great. A few things though.

1. Dont wash the car with it when its real windy (had some pollen problems with that one)
2. Dont wash the car when its too hot out, or in direct sunlight
3. Dont wash the car when its too cold/dark out (simply because, then it will take forever to dry if at all, and it will increase your waterspot chances).

After a few minutes I walk around with a towel to get any little areas that are taking too long to dry, but I say its about 90% effective (better to hand dry 10% of the car than the whole thing). Best thing I ever bought (well..one of them).

Re: Mr. Clean Autodry carwash system

In other words...'don't wash the car,' ;-) ha ha. I'm sure for some, the Mr. Clean AutoDry system works well, but many more have bad things to say about it (myself included obviously).

All I can say is the Mr. Clean AutoDry system takes too long, you have to keep buying the filters (each one will only last a few washes), and if you have a black car...watch out!...You may have to rewash it again after you see the white filmy residue that won't come off otherwise, and the nice water beading you got from your 2 hour wax job...gone. They say the wax is still there, but...

The Big Blue II towels are $35 for 2 -- they last a long time (you can wash them in your washing machine), you never have to wring out like a chamois, they hold a lot of water, they're much more effective than the Mr. Clean AutoDry system, and it will take less time (about 4-5 min.) to dry the car completely and effectively with one of these super-absorbant towels (with no swirls or water streaks). Between the switching from the soap, rinse, and then spraying every inch of your car using the autodry cycle on the Mr. Clean system, you spend 3x more time than if you just used one of the Big Blue towels to dry your car off.

Hey, try it and if you don't like it...return it and get the Big Blue II towels like I did...www.properautocare.com.

yea i just got my big blue towel today.

Mr Clean sucks. it doesnt "dry before your eyes" or maybe it was just too cold when i washed. but that thing takes forever. and its hard to return. you have to mail it back to them. cant even just take it back to pep boys. stupid Mr. Clean. if you want, ill sell you mine. LOL.
