Brush/Limb Scrapes... <GRRRRR>

Nimrods working in my office complex moved brush and limbs across the parking lot scraping up the right rear qtr panel of my G35 Coupe. I rinsed it off with water to make sure it was clean, and there are definite scratches that are horizontal in 10-12 places. Some seem minor, but a few look like they are a bit deeper into the clear coat.

I am curious where to go to try to get rid of these. My insurance will pay for this under Comprehensive (0$ deductible, thank goodness) -- listed as vandalism. I could try the wax route, but I'd rather know if I should just haul it over to a body shop first (any suggestions for the Norcross, GA area???). I'm a bit over-irritated, so rational thinking is still coming and going :-).

If your sure it was the people working in the area that did the damage, I would contact them and make their insurance pay for any repairs you may have to make....

Maybe if the scratches aren't too deep. you can get them out with a scratch remover or fine compound, and then re-wax.

If you think they are too bad, go to a detailer, and send the bill to the landscaping company....
Hope this helps......

actually... if it is a commercial building, contact the property manager (if u have one) or the management company. They will take care of it... and that would be a better route than contacting the landscaping company (they are contracted by the management company)

Re: Brush/Limb Scrapes... <GRRRRR>

I have contacted my HR area who has to contact the property management for me. I'm pressing them to get things done a little more quickly than they are currently . This is definitely not the first time they've damaged cars in the lot, but I'm sure it's going to be lots of denials. I've got the pictures and muddy footprint clues - just need the talking dog and scooby snacks :-). I might need to get the VW van to drive up here as well from now on...

I'm going to take it to a detail place now to see if they think they can repair this *completely* (i.e. it won't appear 2 weeks afterwards). If not, I'll go to who my insurance recommends. I definitely don't want them to have to pay for someone else's carelessness.

Thanks!!
