Horizon Detailing: 2006 G35 Coupe

VIDEO IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE WRITE-UP
Sorry about so many write-ups guys, I have a bunch more but I'll wait a little to write them up, this is the first time I've had free time in a while.

I forget how I met this guy, but he was a really cool guy who just picked up a G35 coupe and was looking how to take care of it and for opinions on mods(G35 is my favorite car, I know a lot about it), so I helped him by corresponding through e-mails, and we eventually met to detail his car. I love this car :applause2:

Wash:
Meguiars Gold Class
2BM w/ Grit Guard
Sheepskin mitt
Uber red and blue WW drying towels

Clay:
Adam's Gray Clay
ONR Clay lube
Uber red towels

Paint:
Makita 9227C/3M Perfect-It backing plate
Uber Blue/ 40% P203S, 60% PO85RD
CG's Monster towels
Uber Original MF Towels

LSP:
Gloss-it Concourso Gloss
Uber Red notched applicator
Uber No Name Super Plush towel

Misc:
303 Aerospace
Various Brushes and MF towels
P21S
Folex
Meguiars Hyper Dressing
Meguiars APC +
Meg's Endurance Tire Shine
UQW in door jambs
Surf City Grime Destroyer
Stoner's Tarminator
Meguiars All Metal Polish
0000 Steel Wool
Poorboy's Wheel Sealant

Ok, so this was exterior only, the owner had all the products to take care of the interior, and since I recommended them, he had all the right ones. So my main concentration was the paint. I did this over 2 days(planned for 1), but the first day was so bad with thunderstorms that the mixture of lack of time and rain messed me up, so I came back to touch up a couple spots I didn't have time to get to in the first day. Anyway, everyone that knows me knows that I mix polishes, I love it. This detail was no different, about 40% P203S and 60% PO85RD was my choice to knock out all of the swirls and knock back the RIDS a good amount without hologramming.

Anyway, onto the pics:

Before: Notice how the paint looks dark, not all that reflective.

That's me claying the car:

Reason for the lack of reflectiveness:

I debadged the G35 for him, and also installed new clear corners:

Here's what I was dealing with all day the first day :waiting:

The bucket was about a little bit past the grit guard with water, then after 15 minutes of rain, check out how much the rain added to it. It was POURING:

Afters:

MONEY SHOT :applause2:

Here's the video, please don't mind the Concourso curing:

Haha needless to say, I was soaked after I finished. It would clear up, I would get back to work and it would instantly start pouring, I was not a happy camper. Good thing I'm a swimmer

That's my car He did a wonderful job and I'd highly recommend him to anyone interested in his work.

I will look into dropping it. Any other "mod" suggestions?

Tint, Drop, tinted or clear corners.

That and I think you'll be good for a while!
