Scratch on plastic between my eyes and the gauges
Hello, this is my first post. I have lurked around here ever since I was thinking about the G. It is an absolutely fabulous forum. And in the very few days I have had my wonderful blue speed demon, I have discovered first hand that the G is an awesome car (especially for an 18 year old , man I get some looks, good and bad).
Anyway, looks like there is a scratch on the clear plastic over the gauges. I can feel it with my nail. Do you think I ought to have the dealership replace it? (It is far until I go to Drexel in late September for school. Then its still kind of far.) Do you think they even would replace it? Or, do you have any suggestions for fixing the scratch? I have heard toothpaste and some stuff actually made to fix plastic.
Any help is greatly appreciated, and I'll try to post pics of the scratch soon.

You could try and get them to fix it but if it's on the outside they'll probably make you pay for it. The part is about $35 and there is a DIY here to show you how to pull the cluster. Be very careful when cleaning, buffing, or touching that lens in any way. It's very brittle plastic and I've cracked two of them just cleaning.
