Star on windshield

Damn.I got a dime size star on my windshield from a rock getting kicked up yesterday. Unfortunately, it is on the right side of the middle of the driver's sight line. We are going to be selling the car. My insurance company will pay to repair at zero cost to me. To replace will cost me my deductable of $200.00 and put in a large claim to the insurance company that I'd like to avoid. The G35 Coupe is a '03 with 7500 mi. Do you think having a repair rather than replacement is going to give me grief when I try to sell?

Re: Star on windshield

I had a star repaire on my truck. It stops it from spreading and unless you knew where it was, you will really never notice. Just get it repaired! Don't replace the windshield. If it was my luck, I would replace the windshield and then it woudl leak like a sieve!

Thank you. My husband agrees. The tech should be here in 20 min. I'll let you know the outcome.
