Yeah, any cleaner like that will eat the inside the headlight. You are going to need to sand them all the way up to 2000G and then polish the hell out of it.

No prob. If you need help with pix you can email them to me, ashley@nfspmotorsports.com
Mine's an 03 too.

Tim (ttrank) is right, you'll need to go up to 2000. Also make sure when you sand, every time you go up a grit, sand untill you can't see any lines from the previous grit.

That's cool. For that price I would just do that too.
I wouldn't mind buying the broken housings and your etched lenses off you if they're cheap though. I'm going to bake mine soon and do a hid conversion and I wouldn't mind having some backup housing parts incase I screw up.

the lenses are never going to be the same. There is a protective film on both the inside and outside of the lense to protect from UV rays. Once it is sanded on either side once, it will look ok for a bit, but it will get fogged up and look awful quickly. When sanding it down, you bring the plastic down to it's raw state. No protection, no film, nothing. So you have the UV rays beating down on the lense all day long eating away at the plastic.

My advice. Buy those from your buddy for 25 each and use those lenses. Polish them up (THE OUTSIDE) with plasti-x and you are good to go. Don't even bother with your old lenses. They are toast.

BTW, nice g. We were twins and from NJ minus a few things (19's, nismo kit, and painted mirror bases)

Does your buddy have a G? If he doesn't I would tend to thing a headlight that will not stay in place has broken brackets from being stolen.

use the 3m restoration kit. I used it on my headlights and the change was unreal! You need a high powered drill to do it though, the battery powered ones wont do it. took me like 45min per headlight
