G35 headlight mess up...help?!?
so i have a silver g35 sedan i blackened out the headlights and grille a month ago. i didnt like how amateur the job looked so i re did them today. i also installed 6k hid's on the low beams 8k on the high and got blue bulbs on my fogs and turn signal. after i opened it up i fixed up the inside but my dumb friend took carberator cleaner and used it on the inside of the headlight lens cover. now it wont come out i tried everything..any ideas? or should i just buy a new one...cant seem to find just the cover tho i have to buy the whole thing...

I know, I cought the bit about the film/coating. I'm guessing the coating on the inside is probably some kind of UV protectant, IDK. But my point is, if the plastX doesn't work then he can sand it down from the inside, that would completely eliminate any film on the inside, then sand with a higher grit, even higher grit, cutting polish, etc... In other words, if you completely refinish the inside of the lens in the same way you would badly frosted/tarnished/pitted outside, a film/coating won't matter.

How much did you sand the inside? What grit? etc

i used 120 grit 200 grit an 600 grit. none of it worked. i even had the turtle wax restoration kit which has a rubbing compound and a lubricant in it with small pads of sandpaper in it and that didnt work either. it looks like its just all fogged up
