buffer swirl hafe/hologram

Can the swirl haze effect be irreversable? reason why I am asking is that I had some minor scratches on the rear bumper due backing into something. I took the car to my local detailer, he used a buffer to get the scratch out. Most of the scratch came off, but now under certain lighting conditions, i can see the swirl hazing from the buffer. my car is black.

You'll need to use a fine pad and something like Optimum polish on a rotary or obital. Or take it back to the detail guy and let him know he's a lazy **** for not following up with the final polishing

It sounds like you're experiencing some rotary holograms from polishing with an aggressive polish or pad by an untrained rotary user. Basically all you need to do is follow up with a finer polish and pad combination as Jeff92se mentioned. I'd recommend looking into doing it yourself or taking it to another detailer who knows what they are doing. Chances are the guy that caused them may not know how to remove them.

Yeah, it's reversible.
Against better judgement, I took delivery at night and when I got the car home and in the sun the next day, I found a buffer hologram that the dealer threw into my deal for free.

I guess the car came off the boat with a small scratch and the dealer needed to take care of it before delivery, so they went against my "no prep or cleaning" rule to take care of the damage. They traced the damage back to a new employee, using a dirty pad and the wrong products. They offered to repair it but I did it myself and she's now as good as new... wait... better

*No similar pics in the sun yet, as I refuse to post any more "pre-drop" photos *

Looking sharp! Good thing you did it yourself and didn't let the dealership touch it again.

Enjoy your new G!
