Leather Restoration?

Hey guys, I been noticing that some cracking marks are showing up in the early stages on my seats. My dads car has this really bad already, and he also has some color fading.

So what products are out there that can restore leather to almost, out from the factory look?

I remember seeing someone used some 2 or 3 step system where there was really bad cracking leather and he let some foam sit and then the leather looked a lot better.

Also are there any Leather brushes or pads, I been using my MF cloth and I think I need something a bit more abrasive or more effective at scrubbing or something.

Thanks for the help!

hmm I been reading and it seems Leatherique 2 step system kit might be the best bet for me.

What color leather?

I tried this on my black leather, not much of an effect (cleaned it up though). If it's faded, it will remain faded, just clean.

For tan, the dirt in the cracks should come out, making it look better. Cracks will still be there.

Both cars are stone/tan. I hear the Leatherique works well, I been reading more and it seems yea I wont be able to make the cracks go away but I can slow it down and make them look a bit better.

I've used the leatherique on stone and got mixed results. I have some staining from blue jeans that didn't come out, but it did condition and remove built up oils and grunge on the leather. I typically use Lexol every two months anyways, but I still have cracks. From what I've read, you have to fill the cracks in and recoat the leather to get rid of them. If I keep my car another 4 years or so i may do it, otherwise I'll just trade and get something new.

For maximum results with Leatherique be sure to follow this step-by-step Leatherique guide exactly. You cannot magically replace cracks in leather, but it can help reduce the look of them as well as help the seats feel soft and supple. There are some actual leather repair kits that Leatherique offers, but you have to order those supplies direct from them. The pictures in the guide will give you an accurate expectation of what can or cannot be repaired or improved.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with on the Leatherique process.
