One of these days I will try FMJ because on Shane's recomendations, the thing is I have had such good results with Zaino, it's hard to try something else.

Klase All-In-One topped with Klasse Sealant Glaze.

Three times a year, I will wash my car using the two-bucket method, use the All-In-One, let the car sit overnight, then do an application of the Sealant Glaze. That's it. Works great.

 

Two coats of nxt 2.0 you'll be fine....

 

Zaino has a oil shine and nxt has a nice candy wet look...

I used the Klasse sealant combo and it last for about 6 months give or take a few weeks, that's how long it lasted on a buddies car that I know he washes at least once a week, I also tried Wolfgang on the G and is a good sealant as well.

 

u got another vote for z2/z5 here. Ive used zaino on all my cars for over 4 years, and havent been happier. Its so good in fact that if your car is dirty u can simply hose it off sometimes. Hell even the rain actually helps to rinse the dirt off, i love it!

 

the zaino site says that the Z-5 is "For swirl marks and fine scratches"..... so do you guys use the Z-5 FIRST, and then the Z-2?

 

If you are using BOTH Z2 and Z5, you would apply Z5 first. You can easily just use Z5 on it's own though. Also, Z5 attempts to fill in swirl marks and fine scratches, it doesn't remove them. If you purchase Z5 for paint correction, you will be very disappointed with the results. It's basically a good sealant, nothing more.

 

i like the Klasse all-in-one, followed up with NXT wax. i also have the Klasse high-gloss sealant which i have used but it's kind of a pain to buff off.

i used the all-in-one on a friend's Xterra and we were blown away with the results. oxidation, contaminants and stains disappeared. his truck is the dark red which really showed the results well. no pics but trust me it was remarkable. we went through 3 applicator pads because so much crap came off with the all-in-one.

 

Collinite #845-- we have extremely harsh winters and the roads are salted throughout the winter. In the summer the sun beats down on the black paint and you can literally cook an egg on it.

I apply 2 coats, 24 hours apart and it lasts nearly a year. The 845 was designed for boats and fleet, and has been used in electrical wires to prevent flashover. Colinite is much like the Liquid Glass. The price for a bottle is $12-15 dollars and you can do 15-20 cars with it. It spreads like butter, so use it very sparingly.

It's not advertised but is used globally by fleet operators, pro-detail shops and large tractor trailer companies that need long wear protection to prevent rust and corrosion. The fact that boat owners use it in salt water speaks volumes.

FMJ lasts me around 4 months or so... just make sure you put a coat of wax (I use Pinnacle Sourevan) every time you wash to keep it lookin smooth and clean in between the polishes
