The headliner is very tricky for many of reasons.
-Some cleaners will eat away at the glue holding it up.
-Some cleaners require you to use some force to get the stain out which means the force takes off the glue.
-Those cleaners might just spread the stain since you do not want to scrub real hard.
-etc.
My advice to you is to , as said above, use a 50/50 mix of water and something similar to 303 and LIGHTLY spray the headliner. I useually say use 2 paper towels per 1'x1' space of headliner. This keeps the moister down while the water dilutes the cleaner so it is easier on the glue. I say 303 because this, in my opinion, is a great cleaner! It works like a charm. Good luck!
