just got my car back from the autobody shop and....

...they put this DAMN greasy residuey (word?) crap all over my leather seats/dash and everywhere! even the steering wheel....now what do you guys recommend to use to clean it off? lexol leather shampoo? will that work? PLEASE HELP!!!

EDIT:

I also noticed tons of swirl marks in the paint!!

I already emailed the body shop owner to let him know im not happy with that! and asked to have them pay for a professional detail job at a shop of my choice.

hmm, try to wipe it off with a cloth, If not just get some Leather Cleaner and wipe it off. It might be some type of leather treatment that might just go away in a few days, once its fully absorbed.

^ +1. screw the email to the owner. go back there and confront them in person. be diplomatic, but firm in your stance. they need to rectify the problem to your satisfaction.

a good APC diluted 10:1 will work for the leather seats, then apply your own conditioner/protectant

as for the paint, there is really no getting around it, bodyshops are not detailers!

with that said, you need to make your working clear! be bold and firm, yet civil and understanding! dont put them on the defensive from the start! also, you need to mention that you need to take it to a pro detailer without them trying to get it right because you want it done right the first time without removing so much clear like you would if you had to have it done two more times!

Most shops have plastic bags to cover the seats.
