Looks good so far. Keep us updated on how it works out in the long run, if you don't mind.

Re: My First Crystal Guard Application

haha thanks guy

I got the CG quick maintenance kit.. I tried to wash with the CG wash but the spray head had a problem so I gave up.. I used my normal car wash soap and washed the car before.. Then I applied CG (simple instructions on the back of the bottle).... took me about an hour just becuase i had to clean the wheels and prepare... it was really easy though.. put the cg on with the microfiber that comes with it and dryed it off with the chamois.. this was actually my first time applying anything like this.. I usually just wash my car with soap &water... I think it turned out really well.. i put cg on the windows too.. the only bad thing is... NOW I CAN SEE ALL OF THE LITTLE ROCKS THAT CHIPPED THE PAINT ON THE FRONT OF MY CAR!! damn!!!! how can I get these out??

by the way.. thanks GSM for answering all of my questions:> had lots of questions since it was the first time i "detailed" the G..

Practice the langka on your relatives car first. Dont end up like me, a noticable blob.

Re: My First Crystal Guard Application

The infiniti desert platinum touch paint doesn’t match the effect on the body's color, it almost has no glitter effect like the body has. When I first got to an accident, the damage was the quarter of an inch size. It took me a dozen of times to get the langka right, ending up working with a inch circle and half the lanka bottle left. The body is too sensitive to Lanka, practice like paint artist first. Use Lanka with the perfect stroke speed and pressure, we're talking baby skin here in a tanning salon. lol. Do not rush, every lanka rub reflects your recovery. Thanks

Re: My First Crystal Guard Application

it strikes me that doing touch-ups may be a problem if you have the CG on the car.

if you have sealed over the chips, you now would have to remove the cg, repair the chip and then re-apply.
i suspect touch-up wont stick well to the new protection layer ?
