Leather protection?

Anyone got a method of keeping the wrinkles away? The thin leather just wrinkles way too easily.

Thanks all n appreciate it

Wrinkles easy? Want to keep the wrinkles away, buy a car with vinyl seats!

Re: Leather protection?

WRAH, your right, those pics were scary......
There is no way to the best of my knowledge to prevent the typical wrinkling or creasing of the leather bolsters.....it's just part of the process of using the cars' seat.......

I will admit, I was a little surprised to see how quickly the seats in this car did crease......especially since I'm only 190lbs.

You haven't seen "creasing" until you've had a Ford with leather!!

Re: Leather protection?

The leather tends to wrinkle as that is the original state the leather was in before being smoothed out. I remember hearing this on the IS300 forums from a leather expert. So don't be all stressed out because the leather is wrinkling! From my experience, Lexol or Griot's Leather cleaner works great for your car's leather seats.

Re: Leather protection?

What I've found to be effective for my car is once a week I'll clean the leather with 303 Cleaner sprayed lightly on a damp microfiber towel. This will get all the sweat, dirt, and other stuff that gets into the seats when you have anyone in it.

Then once a month i'll use Zaino's leather conditioner. This stuff works great because it helps keep the restored look and feel, as well as the smell without that greasy look that some of the other products leave on the seats. Just my 2 cents

Re: Leather protection?

After 10,000 miles, any area that has seen regular use should be creased somewhat, or it ain't leather !
