Airbrushing....

Hey guys, anyone on here have a lot of experience with airbrushing?
I have Tenzo type Ms and long story short, one of them has painted red stripe like a Time Attack on it. I feel this would be the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to color over it matte black like the rest of the rims.

Ive got a friends air gun and another ones air compressor, just any insight on proceedure or paint type would be a great help.

Thanks guys...

You wouldnt necessarily have to use an airbrush. You could use an HVLP gun also. Mask the rest of the wheel off and get some single stage paint and spray over the red. Anything thats able to shoot automotive paint will work(and no not a spray can)

high volume low pressure... or just commonly known as an automotive spray gun

You could get a single stage mixed in a spray can...

If I only need a little bit of basecoat Ill get it mixed in a spray can from my auto paint guy and then just spray clear over it with my gun. Last week I only needed a little bit of Chromabase so instead of buying a 1/2 pint, I had them mix it in a spray bomb, saves time and money.

Like I said, no Duplicolor or any other crap off the shelf spraycan you buy at AutoZone or NAPA

Make sure you can't peel it off with some heat applied first... Unless it really is painted on.
