WENT NUTS AT PEPBOYS!

Re: WENT NUTS AT PEPBOYS!
You know, I used all of the stuff, no issues at all. Afro, I don't know what you're talking about these microfiber towels being bad. My friend spent 100 bucks on Microfiber towels and these work just as well in my opinion.
Here's what I did to my car. https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...sed&sb=5&part=

As for the California blade, it does take out much of the water out. I have a black car and uses the CA blade. Just make sure that you thorough rinse it before each use to make sure there aren't any particles on it that could cause scratches. Also do not apply pressure when wiping with the blade. Just lightly glide it over the paint.

You only need to clay bar your car once a year, assuming you wax it at at appropriate intervals. You can also clay bar your wheels if you like...it will give them a cleaner look and will easily remove any of that "stubborn" brake dust (which is caused by you neglecting your wheels) in a breeze. Aaaand, clay bar will also clean up your glass pretty well.
I have a Black Coupe and I have been using the CA Water Blade ever since I got the car. Once you get the hang of it, it is incredibly fast and easy, and I finish off using a Big Blue Waffle Weave Towel. Of cousre, I always wipe down the blade before I use it, and a couple of times during the water blade process, I wipe down the blade again just to make sure it's clean. It has not caused any damage or imperfections to my paint so far!
As for the buffer/polisher issue, you have to be careful with them. Some of these products work by abrading away a layer of paint, which isn't bad, but you have to know what you're doing before you use it!
If you just want to improve the condition of your paint, such as to use a rubbing compound and then glaze, just pickup a Sears Craftsman Buffer for $30 - $50 depending on the size. It is completely safe for your paint, very easy to use, and your Black Coupe will be shining in no time.
If you have imperfections in the paint, such as hairline scratches, etched-in water spots, and swirl marks (I know I do) and you want to get rid of them, then you need one of those orbital buffers to buff away that damaged layer of paint.

Re: WENT NUTS AT PEPBOYS!
Costco is now carries a big 'ole bag of micro fiber towels for like $8.
One trick about Costco... if you buy something from them & AT ANYTIME you do not like the product - for any reason, bring it back for a replacement or refund.
"these towels wore out", I need new ones.
