Just bought the Porter 7336 buffer - What next?

I want to learn to detail like the pro's. Reccomend me products, pads, glazes, waxes, etc. This will be for my black car, with your usual daily driver issues, a ton of swirls. lol

Or any detailing advice, with bufer speed, how to apply wax/glazes, etc. I would really appreciate!

Thanks in advance!

Try this as far as the Polish goes..

Then for the sealant.. I use this also.

For the wax..

Buffer pads, Start with the least aggressive and work your way up until you get the desired results. Try these.

You will also need a black, white and blue pad (s) for finishing.

Washing is very important along with claying your car before hand to remove any contaniments from surface. That should get you started in the right direction. Have fun and take your time taping up everything when your ready.

My OB had a lot swirls also. I used Menzerna SIP on an orange pad, which got rid of all the swirls. Then I followed up with Menzerna PO106FA (White pad) and Menzerna PO85RD (Black pad). And finally I used Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant (Blue pad) and Dodo Purple Haze Wax.

I've also heard great reviews on Meguiar's M105 and Meguiar's M205.

As for advice on how to use the buffer, I would read through Auto Detailing Guide. They tell you how much to product to apply, how fast to go, etc. Good luck.
