Just wax over it before you have it mounted onto the car. Make sure your applicator pad is clean........the lips scratch fairly easy.

Wenol (pink tube) is a good wheel polish with wax.

Cactus, does that rejex work like everyone claims? What's the proper way to apply? From what I hear you can literally RINSE the dust off the wheels!

I will let you know Diesel. I just did the whole car on Tuesday and I have not driven it yet. I will post my findings in about a week.

I first started using rejex almost two years ago on another car. The brake dust is less likely to stick and easier to clean, BUT it is not just rinse off by any means. You still have to use a brush to get it clean.

I take it that if you have kept on using it all this time, that it does help a great deal with break dust, etc.?

Re: Any way to protect wheels?

Sorry I haven't posted my Rejex results but I have only driven my G once in the last 9 days! I did run through a little mud on Saturday and it was on the face of the splashguards and by the time I got home all the mud was gone. The surface seems very slick. I need to drive my car more but the weather has been crappy here in the East lately.
