Winter care

With Winter approaching, I'm down to my last drops of Z2, Z5 and Z6.I won't be washing/Zainoing the car myself much longer as the temps drop. My first summer with my G has been a blast. Love the car. Birthday coming up in December.

I guess it's back to the local car wash but I can still take car of the interior myself.

What are your winter plans for showing some love to your G?

Re: Winter care

I just gave my car the winter prep. Two coats of Klasse AIO, followed by Klasse Sealant Glaze, and then two coats of P21S.

That should suffice for at least another 6 - 8 months.....I will from time to time, depending on the temps, add a coat or two of the P21S.....its so easy to use, and it really adds depth to my cars finish......

Re: Winter care

Where I live there are only automatic car washes.. How do you recommend I wash my baby without taking it to one of those? I don't have access to a hose that won't freeze.. besides hand washing will scare me considering and ice that I don't see will scratch the shizzy out the car... Any suggestions?

Re: Winter care

When it snows for the first time and the cinders go down my G will be parked and covered for the Winter. I just bought a 96 Accord LX with only 27,ooo miles as my daily driver.

Re: Winter care

wash it in the garage...assuming you have one

if its just a little dust get a duster ($20 from griotsgarage.com).

if its very dirty get a clean bucket of just water from inside, a good thick wash mit and wash with just water. cleanout the mit often and dry each area before you move on to avoid water spots.

optionally finish up with a quick detailing spray ($10 from griotsgarage.com product name is 'speed shine')

i actually dust and speed shine in the summer as well to keep the time between real washes to 2-3 weeks.

no i don't work for griots i just love the products
