Gilmour Foam Master

I used 8oz of Gold Class Soap the rest with warm water.

I used 1-32 Ratio on the gun which is the middle hole.

Uber gun? Does it work off the hose? It sure is a foam gun, works exactly like any other, be it a pressure cleaner or a hose. Sure it may not have the same dwell time as the pressure cleaner one can achieve but from the first use today and how much time I saved washing my car. Its good for me.

Mine seems to work when it wants. Sometimes it will look like yours other times it wont soap very much at all.. To get the same soap you have in your picture I have to really put a lot of soap in it just about as much as you would need for a 5 gallon bucket..

I wanna get a foam cannon for my pressure washer to do some serious foaming haha have you seen pics of what those come out to look like?

^ Yep they put thick foam, only benefit of that, is that you can have it dwell longer. You dont want it too thick either or it wont move.

First off what soap are you using? How many OZ are you putting in? If you put too little it wont foam. You need to look up the dilution levels of the soap you are using.

Also buying soap that is for use in a foam gun will really cut down how much soap you need.

I bought some Meguiars Super Soap its coming in on Monday so I had to use Gold Class.

I can put 4-5oz of that for the whole bottle vs 8 for gold class.

I have tried Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II which is supposed to foam really well and Chemical Guys Citrus wash which is really concentrated to remove old wax instead of harsh dish soap.

With all the information and a kazillion opinions about not using dish detergent on painted surfaces, is there anyone that stupid? My coupe has never seen any kind of soap....except the wheel wells and under pressure.

I have the same "gun" but noticed it makes better foam if i don't dilute the soap (either Gold Glass or Nano Wash/Wax). I usually only fill-up the Gilmour bottle to 1/4 with soap and usually still have some left after i'm done.

Although, the best foam was achieved after i swapped the hose out for a 3/4" one.

The dilutions are right for the c setting so gold class just doesn't foam up too well. I use to use gold class for good pricing but now it costs just as much as the boutique soaps I get from a local detailing store. I think it is pretty cheap in the states so you could try upping the soap content. I've used CG citrus wash n gloss, maxi suds, optimum soap, duragloss 901 and dp xtreme foam, and all these foam up very well.

Ubergun? If it is the foam gun carried by detailers domain they are made by the same manufacturer and foam up the same.

heh, if you don't dilute the soap you are using more soap!

I started using Megs SuperSoap I only used like 3 cap fulls and it put out as much as Gold Class did. It also has a much longer dwell time then Gold Class

More Water pressure = more foam!

I bought a Gilmour hose Its Grey and its like 8 layers of latex. Any how it was only 25 bucks for 50 feet at homedepot, and it defiantly has a lager diameter then my old hose, no idea what the diameter is though I threw away the packaging.

Make sure to run clean water before you put it all away, so you dont get any clogging issues.
